MONTEIRO LOBATO E O SÍTIO DO PICAPAU AMARELO NAS PRÁTICAS PEDAGÓGICAS DE ALFABETIZAÇÃO: A TRAVESSIA HISTÓRICA DE 1930 AO UNIVERSO CONTEMPORÂNEO

Abstract

O presente trabalho propõe refletir sobre as obras de Monteiro Lobato e a sua contribuição no processo de alfabetização. Alguns títulos da Série “O Sítio do Picapau Amarelo”, têm especial destaque durante o percurso investigativo e, através desses, pretende-se resgatar e reviver valores culturais da literatura infantil, reconhecendo o valor dos textos lobatianos. Percebe-se atualmente uma grande inserção de diferentes autores destinados ao público infantil, enquanto Monteiro Lobato figura como autor /, ‘_quase esquecido’, tanto no cenário comercial e editorial, quanto no pedagógico. Diante disso é importante repensar como O Sítio do Picapau Amarelo tem sido apresentado às crianças e quais elementos poderiam contribuir para aproximar ou afastar as mesmas do precursor da Literatura Infantil Brasileira. Para fomentar a reflexão em torno dessas questões o trabalho, proposto, embasado pela pesquisa bibliográfica e de campo, envolveu crianças no processo de alfabetização de uma escola urbana de Posse – GO. ___________________________ABSTRACT: The present work proposes to reflect on the works of Monteiro Lobato and his contribution in the literacy process. Some titles of the series "The Yellow Picapau", have a special emphasis during the investigation course, and through these, it is intended to rescue and revive cultural values of children's literature, recognizing the value of the Lobatian texts. There is now a great insertion of different authors for children, while Monteiro Lobato figures as an author /, _'almost forgotten', both in the commercial and editorial scene, as well as in the pedagogical scene. In view of this, it is important to rethink how The Yellow Woodpecker has been presented to children and what elements could contribute to approaching or removing them from the forerunner of Brazilian children's literature. To foster reflection around these issues, the work proposed here is stimulated by bibliographical and field research, involving children in the literacy process of an urban school in Posse - GO.
