UM ESTUDO SOBRE A LITERATURA DE CORDEL: ORIGENS E PECULARIDADES

Abstract

O presente artigo estabelece uma reflexão sobre a Literatura de Cordel no Brasil, mostrando as origens, bem como as influências que essa literatura tem na cultura do nordeste do país. Além disso, esse artigo discute a importância dessa literatura em sala de aula, apontando elementos que potencializam o Cordel como um nobre instrumento de trabalho, enriquecendo cada vez mais o currículo escolar e despertando senso crítico dos alunos. O texto também aborda o porquê da não valorização dessa literatura, demostrando a discriminação da mesma por ser considerada uma literatura popular, tornado assim um desafio no campo educacional._______________________________________________________________Abstract The present article establishes a reflection about the Cordel Literature in Brazil, showing the origins, as well the influences that this literature has in the northeast culture of the country. Moreover, this article discusses the importance of this literature in classroom, pointing out elements that enhances the Cordel like a noble tool of work, enriching the school's curriculum and awakening the student's critical sense. The text also addresses the reason this literature is not being appreciated, demonstrating the discrimination for it be considered a popular literature, becoming a challenge on educational field.
