MATEMÁTICA COMO FERRAMENTA DE INVESTIGAÇÃO DO USO DA ÁGUA NA AGRICULTURA: ESTUDO DE CASO EM PROPRIEDADES RURAIS DO MUNICÍPIO DE IACIARA-GOIÁS

Abstract

A presente pesquisa objetivou investigar o uso da água na produção agrícola de pequenas e grandes propriedades situadas no município de Iaciara-GO, pretendendo demonstrar a articulação da Matemática com diferentes áreas. O público alvo da pesquisa foram produtores rurais, praticantes da agricultura familiar e da agricultura comercial. A pesquisa foi do tipo estudo de caso, de forma a permitir um amplo e detalhado conhecimento sobre o objeto investigado. Se desenvolveu a partir de estudo bibliográfico onde buscou-se conhecer a legislação e irrigação no Brasil, e do estudo de campo com entrevistas e questionários aplicados em seis propriedades rurais escolhidas por amostragem. Os dados coletados foram tabulados, comparados e analisados, tendo aporte nos conceitos matemáticos para estimar o consumo de água com a irrigação nas propriedades pesquisadas. A matemática foi determinante nas análises feitas, percebendo a dimensão do consumo de água e a previsão de gastos futuros, promovendo assim reflexões acerca da prática agrícola de pequeno e grande porte e do consumo de recurso hídrico._________________________________________________ The present research aimed to investigate the water use on agricultural production of small and large farms located in the municipality of Iaciara-GO, intending to demonstrate the articulation of Mathematics with different areas. The target audience of the survey were farmers, practitioners of family agriculture and commercial agriculture. The research was of the case study type, in order to allow a broad and detailed knowledge about the investigated object. Was developed from a bibliographical study where it was sought to know the legislation and irrigation in Brazil, and the field study with interviews and questionnaires applied to six rural properties chosen by sampling. The data collected were tabulated, compared and analyzed, having input in the mathematical concepts to estimate the water consumption with the irrigation in the researched properties. Mathematics was determinant in the analyzes made, noting the dimension of water consumption and the forecast of future expenditures, thus promoting reflections about small and large agricultural practice and consumption of water resources.
