O USO DA MATEMÁTICA FINANCEIRA: ABORDAGEM E SUAS CONCEPÇÕES PARA GESTÃO FINANCEIRA PESSOAL NO 3° ANO DO ENSINO MÉDIO NO EXERCÍCIO DA CIDADANIA

Abstract

O presente artigo tem a finalidade de investigar o conhecimento dos alunos em relação a Educação Financeira trabalhada em consonância com a Matemática Financeira, área de grande importância social. Trata-se de um componente curricular a ser compreendido numa perspectiva reflexiva e interdisciplinar, tendo os discentes como sujeitos ativos no exercício da cidadania e visa propiciar conhecimentos fundamentados em conceitos financeiros. O público alvo deste estudo foram estudantes da 3ª série do ensino médio de um Colégio Estadual da Polícia Militar, localizado no Município de Posse- GO.Para a coleta de dados utilizou-se como instrumento a aplicação de questionários eletrônicos. Após a coleta, os dados foram tabulados e os resultados analisados e discutidos de acordo com a temática em questão, a fim de indicar a afinidade entre os fatos verificados e as teorias estudadas. Quanto aos objetivos, a pesquisa é do tipo explicativa, pois identifica os fatores que determinam ou que contribuem para a ocorrência dos fenômenos.Quanto à abordagem, trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa e quantitativa dada a importância da Educação Financeira ao exercício da cidadania na atualidade. Pode-se concluir que a Educação Financeira é essencial para o cotidiano em geral e que, desta forma, o ensino da Matemática Financeira nas escolas precisa ser aprimorado, pois quanto maior for a presença dos conceitos inerentes a este componente curricular, maior será o desenvolvimento do aluno._____________________________________________________________________________________ The purpose of this article is to investigate the students' knowledge regarding Financial Education worked in line with Financial Mathematics, an area of great social importance. It is a curricular component to be understood in a reflective and interdisciplinary perspective, having students as active subjects in the exercise of their citizenship and aims to provide knowledge based on financial concepts. The subject for this study was students from the 3rd grade of high school at a State College of the Military Police, located in Posse-GO. It is worth mentioning that due to the remote classes, there was difficulty the student participation, and of the 37 students enrolled, only 10 answered the questionnaire. For data collection, electronic questionnaires were used as an instrument. After collection, the data were tabulated and the results analyzed and discussed according to the theme in question, in order to indicate the affinity between the verified facts and the studied theories. As for the objectives, the research is of the explanatory type, as it identifies the factors that determine or contribute to the occurrence of the phenomena (GIL, 2019). As for the approach, it is a qualitative and quantitative research given the importance of Financial Education to the exercise of citizenship today. It can be concluded that Financial Education is essential for everyday life in general and that, in this way, the teaching of Financial Mathematics in schools needs to be improved, because the greater the presence of the concepts inherent to this curricular component, the greater the development of the student.
